Tips for Embroidered Logos and Artwork

At SuperStitchin, we pride ourselves on having happy, satisfied customers.  We want your embroidered artwork to look as great as you expect.  However, if you've never designed artwork for embroidering before, there are a few things we’d like you to keep in mind:

Gradients and Blended Colors: Many artistic mediums use gradients, or blended colors that transition from one color to another.  Layering or blending colors works well with ink and paint to create these transition effects.  Thread is solid color and does not produce the same effect when mixed or layered depending on the item being embroidered.

Size of Artwork: The size of the embroidered artwork is dependent on the item that is being embroidered.  Your beautiful 14 by 11 inch drawing might not look the same when reduced to fit on a baseball hat or shirt pocket.  Let us know what you want embroidered and we’ll recommend the right size artwork for your item.

Size of Elements: Line art and other fine details are sometimes difficult to replicate in embroidery, especially if the original artwork and text needs to be reduced in size.  If these details are integral to your design, you might want to consider screen printing your design as an alternative.  We can advise you as to what will produce the best look.
